Frankly is a pocket library of conversation card decks — you open a deck, and answer one question at a time.
Frankly turns dead air into real talk. It is a library of nine conversation card decks — 522 questions in all — played one card at a time by swiping, with a deeper follow-up waiting behind any card you tap. There is a deck for a first date, for a decade in, for the family dinner table, for a long-distance call, for a loud group, and for sitting alone with a coffee. The first five cards of every deck are free, one whole deck is free, and nothing asks you to make an account.

Each deck carries its own palette, gradient, typeface and ambient motion. Opening a different deck is meant to feel like walking into a different room, not filtering a list.
Colour, gradient, typeface and ambient motion all change with the deck. The ambient edge motion is a Metal-backed shader; the chrome adopts iOS 26 Liquid Glass, with text contrast machine-verified in every theme, in light and dark.
Not the interface only — every question and every follow-up is localized into ten editions across nine languages: English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Ukrainian. They are not all at the same stage of review — see Limits.
No sign-up, no streaks, no notifications you didn't ask for, and no network needed to play. Progress, favourites and written reflections stay on the device. The app ships with no advertising identifier and nothing declared under “Data Used to Track You”. The App Store listing declares what is collected: purchase history, anonymous product-interaction data, and crash diagnostics. Product analytics stays off until you opt in; crash reporting is a separate channel not covered by that prompt. Neither carries a card, an answer or a favourite.

These are the things worth knowing before you write about it. We would rather you had them from us than found them yourself.
On quoting the cards. The 64 questions on that page are the ones the app gives away free — the whole Icebreakers deck plus the first five of each other deck. Quote any of them, in any number, without asking. They are there precisely so a piece about the app can show what the writing is actually like instead of describing it. The other 458 are paid, and are not on that page.
Search for the full name, not “Frankly”. Several unrelated products use that word, including another app and a developer account on the App Store, so the string that finds this one is Frankly: Cards for Connection (App Store ID 6784455025). Press access and assets on request. Frankly is free to download, and the first five cards of every deck are free — but reviewing it properly means seeing all nine decks. Ask and we will send a code that unlocks the full library, redeemable in the app under Settings → Redeem code. App icon, screenshots in all ten localizations and a 26-second app preview are available too; say which sizes you need.
